Caring for and protecting the soil, plants and wild animals with a loving hand is a very natural thing for CENIBRA. After all, it is on the land that the Company cultivates its renewable Eucalyptus forests, from which it produces pulp – the raw material used in the fabrication of several types of paper.

CENIBRA takes as a priority the development of any action geared to protect and promote the rational use of the natural resources available.

CENIBRA celebrates the Environmental Week in several ways:

Ecological Patrol

This program is designed to disseminate ecological awareness of vehicle drivers and passengers traveling along the BR 381 highway, in the vicinity of the pulp plant. The Ecological Patrol is performed by students who give vehicle drivers bags to be used as garbage bag inside their cars and folders showing the actions undertaken by CENIBRA in the environmental field.

Macedonia Farm

This is a Private Natural Reserve where visits are arranged for students, employees and their family members, with the objective of emphasizing the importance of the environment. During the visit, video clips are shown and walks are organized along the ecological trail that crosses the reserve.

Lectures

These are designed to provide a deeper knowledge to the Company’s professionals about environmental legislation and to strengthen their commitment toward contributing to the vigilance of the Company’s environmental assets.
